I am from Ottawa, Canada originally. Shortly after graduation my husband and I moved to Miami Florida where I worked in critical care. In 2008 moved to Raleigh, NC where I worked as a Lung Transplant Coordinator at Duke and a Kidney Transplant Coordinator at UNC. In the Spring I started at Fresenius Medical Care as a Project Manager. It is an awesome position. I was brought on to primarily work on transplant initiatives which has been so rewarding. We are creating a Transplant Referral Platform to become more collaborative partners with Kidney transplant centers with the goal of getting our patients transplanted faster. The referral is a comprehensive clinical summary which makes the intake on the transplant center side much easier. I have had the pleasure of attending ANNA, ITNS and ATC conferences this year to promote Fresenius’ Transplant Referral Platform and was able to meet many of the ANNA nurses!

On a personal side my mother started dialysis in 2017. I feel I have a unique insight into what dialysis patients experience. I have so much respect and admiration for nephrology nurses and the compassion they have for their patients.

I currently live in Wilmington, NC with my four children, husband and pups. I look forward to getting to know my fellow Tar River nurses!
