Hello Tar River Chapter! Welcome to our new website!
Our chapter board has been busy brainstorming for new ways to engage our chapter members and provide what is needed. In order to better understand what the chapter needs are, a survey was sent to all of you. Our response was not what we had hoped but it has helped give us some direction.
I am sure many of you have already received a Save the Date for our annual North Carolina Collaborative Symposium scheduled for May 24 - 25, 2023 in Cary. It promises to be two days full of education, networking, and fun! We are also looking at other ways to provide education to our members. Look for information regarding dinner meetings in the new year. We are hoping to schedule one in Greenville and another in Wilmington.
We are also trying to increase our online presence. Part of this is our new website as well as Facebook. We do have a Facebook page but it has been dormant for a few years. You should see some more information coming about this.
Finally, we are looking at ways to give back to our membership. We already have a number of awards and scholarships available through the ANNA national office. We are exploring other ways to help our membership, perhaps through registration provided by the chapter to our state meeting. More to come on this in the near future.
As always, we welcome more involvement from our chapter members! Please consider attending meetings, educational events, or even running for an office. Contact myself or any of our board members for more information.
